You are a true friend, indeed, to special education. I "read" your passion in every word. I, too, see the rigid mandates as stifling to the academic & social success of our studetns. Your entry reminds me of a quote by Ted Knight, "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never create anything original." Teach on, JB! Your kids are lucky to have you.
